I’m Erica, an author, podcaster, and coach, and the creator of this course. I help women redefine the role alcohol plays and ditch their relationship with booze and the shame spiral that comes with it once and for all.
I’ll be honest—getting here wasn’t easy. I discovered I was a “gray area drinker” during the pandemic. I often drank more than I intended, questioned whether I should cut back, and while I was fully functioning, I still faced the small but nagging consequences of my habits. I wanted a solution that fit MY life. I didn’t need or want full sobriety, but everywhere I looked, the only advice was to quit entirely. That black-or-white approach didn’t work for me, so I created something that did.
Before I made the shift, I believed:
I couldn’t have fun (or be fun) without alcohol.
Life would be boring without a glass to socialize or decompress.
People wouldn’t enjoy my company as much if I wasn’t drinking.
And, most of all…raising kids without “mommy wine” was impossible.
So I kept drinking. Often more than I planned. I told myself “everyone drinks,” judged myself, compared myself to others, and dreaded mornings filled with hangovers, regret, and shame over the night before. Then it hit me… why wait for rock bottom?
I didn’t want my drinking to affect my health, relationships, or life. I was ready to do the work. I quickly realized I didn’t need alcohol to get through the day, even as a mom. I can enjoy social gatherings with or without a drink, and people still enjoy my company. I sleep better, feel refreshed, and look better. Life is so much richer when I’m fully in control of my drinking. Now, I enjoy a glass when I want, but I no longer use alcohol to cope, numb, or to get through life. I am happier, more fulfilled, and undoubtedly a better mom, wife, and friend.
